Congratulations to the Class of 2014 Georgia Certificate of Merit recipients for Peach County High School. The Georgia Certificate of Merit is awarded in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement throughout the first three years of high school by ranking in the top five percent of the junior class. These awards are issued by The University of Georgia on the behalf of the Georgia State Department of Education. The 12 PCHS Georgia Certificate of Merit scholars were honored at the PCHS Annual Underclassmen Honors Program on Tuesday, May 21st. Students from all grade levels participated in planting trees, shrubs, and flowers on the school grounds .The project was funded by monies earned from ongoing recycling activities at Kay Road and donations of time, design equipment, resources, and product from local landscape and nursery companies. Special thanks to Kay Road parents; Mrs. Tamika McGhee (USDA) and Mr. Justin Sanders, owner of SANDERSCAPES for their outstanding support of this project. Additional thanks go to: CKB Landscape and Construction, Angel Acres, Hillside Nursery, Lakeside Landscaping, Peach Pottery, and FOURM designs for their generous contri- jutions.
