CC Board of Education
Approves Tax Abatement
Following the lead of the Crawford County Commission
ers, the Crawford County Board of Education, in a called
meeting, approved a Tax Abatement for a new company
which may locate in the county, requested by the Develop

This is a win-win situation for the county and school
board if the deal goes through because the county and school
system would receive $30,000 due to the penalties of taking
the property out of conservation. This is a parcel of 147
acres of uninhabited land.
In other business, the board amended the intergovernmen
tal contract with the City of Roberta and Crawford County
Commissioners to wave the free for the girls’ softball locker
room/concession stand at the high school ball field. Craw
ford County Commissioners also approved this at their last
meeting.
The board of education held a work session Tuesday, June
