Jamie Alexis Lynn Meeks, left, who just finished fourth grade in Georgia Connections Academy, had perfect attendance this past year and also received an Award of Excellence in recognition of making the A+ Honor Roll all year. Her brother, Michael Jeremy Lee Meeks, who just finished first grade in GCA, received the same awards as his sister. This is the second year the two siblings have attended GCA. He says he cut the grass with a push mower and it was a fairly good sized yard. Troy’s mother died about 26 years ago, when he was just 15. His mom had a bird feeder outside her kitchen window and loved to watch the red birds. He recently ran across the check and one day while walking outside and trying to come up with a name for a lawn mowing business, he saw the Cardinals in the yard and thought about his mother. Cardinal Lawn Services was born.
