The Anatomy of Evangelism ’’The Well, The Water, The Woman, the Wine, and the Wonder—all are expounded upon in Fourth Chapter of St John; as credence is given to the spectacular course of Evangelism. The Central personality is none other than the Saviour Himself; giving illustration to what can (and should) become a prime pat tern for the wining of souls. The Well hereby de scribed as the meeting place between the Son of God, and a Samaritan woman, in one of the strangest encounters men tioned in the entire Word of God! As one reads the phrase of intro, and the fact that ”He must needs go though Sa maria”, you are made to real ize more than a geographical necessity. The implication is, that with perception allowed only through the heavenlies; he knew the woman would be there, and He knew her need! The ’’Well” becomes a symbol of the ’’common ground” set forth as a goal, in efforts to first strike meaning ful conversation-and channel it towards ’’spiritual paydirt”! The ’’Woman” is clearly an example of humanity, who both ’’first and last”, has need for spiritual reclamation! All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God! Her multiple items of deficit are indicative of the sordid dilemma we find ourselves in. If you look with discerning interest; it is most likely you will notice that those with the ’’distraught complexion” are hanging out near the well! The Water spells the im portance of the worlds most vital commodity! We are all extremely acquainted with the fact that without ’’water”, our lives will be terminal in short order! We can exist a fairly lengthy period with out food, but without water, dehydration sets in, and the end is nearby. Surely, we must all know that the type here, is that, without ’’spiritual water”, our soul becomes a desert space. This ’’life giving substance” is in your hands for the sharing! The Wine is mentioned in this chapter as the first Miracle Jesus performed. His miraculously changing ’’the Water into Wine” for the wed- Daniel W. The implica tions are many as we become inextricably attached to the Master of the Universe! The Wonder is what takes place when the process is followed to the letter! Obvi ously, there was big change in the ’’Woman” for she cried out to those on the periphery- -”Come see a man-—”! It is a Glorious Miracle when a life is transformed by the Power of God—but an even greater Miracle when the ’’vast harvest of souls becomes a reality!” Consider the caustic course of humanity, and the course you will take to bring about an entirely different outcome!
