From Gallups, to UPI, and on to the networks (and every guru of hypothetics); an impressive list of how many died, how many are go ing to die (and including the lengthy group who wish they were dead); is promulgated through the media like lava on the ’’bed of Vesuvius!” Never mind that at last half of those polled have trouble remembering what day it is; or how they answered yester day! Please be informed that to take all these for granted, with their plus or minus, is somewhat analogous to ’’guessing how many marbles in the head of our Chief Ex ecutive!” Now I hate to burst any one’s bubble; but if you are one to wager on what the morning press gives as reli able statistics on the White House phenomena, or Al Quida infomercials; you may just be the reason why gasoline varies forty cents a gallon, from one side of town to the other! All of this would spell ’’crying time” were it not so pathetically funny! As many as two percent of all cows in the world have indicated symptoms of ”mad cow” affliction (or sad cow prediction)...or have given premature birth to a clone named’’Bubba”! And sadly, ’’decaffeinated coffee is to blame for a good twenty per cent of heart attacks, cancer deaths; and an increase of ingrown nails and gout!
