members and $20 for Chamber
Members and spouses. There will

Auction for 6:00 until 7:15 p.m. to
help fund a new FFA Scholarship.

hosting its ANNUAL FALL FRUIT
SALE.They will be selling Florida
Indian River Groves fruit and will
have a selection of Navel Oranges,
Ruby Red Grapefruit, Hamlin
(juice) Oranges and Tangelos.
There will also be a mixed carton
available with Navel Oranges and
Ruby Red Grapefruit. Fruit will be
sold in 10 lb., 20 lb. and 40 lb. car
tons. Prices will be $18 for 10 lbs.;
$22 for 20 lbs. and $30 for 40 lbs.

Public Invited to Recovery Fair
and Fun Day Awareness Event -
With September being National
Recovery Month, Phoenix Center
is hosting a Recovery Fair and Fun
Day Awareness Event on Saturday,
September 28, 2013,12:00 p.m. to
3:00 p.m. at Phoenix Center BHS,
410 E. Church Street, Fort Valley,
Georgia. The public is invited to
attend this FREE event. The event
is family-driven and will focus on
substance abuse recovery. Our
goal is to increase awareness of
the value of community-based
mental health and substance
abuse services available in
Houston, Peach and Crawford
Counties. This event will include a
recovery walk, recovery races, bal
loon ceremony, push-up contest,
cake walk, story telling, face/finger
painting, arts and crafts, and a
bouncy fun house. Health activi
ties will include free HIV testing,
blood pressure checks and diabe
tes screening. Hot dogs, chips and
drinks will be provided to the pub
lic. For more information, contact
