Crawford County Eagles Nest visits the
Fire Safety House at the fair
2 groups from Crawford Co. Eagle’s Nest came through the State Fire Safety House at
the fair. They all remembered what to do after the CCFD, Sheriff’s Office, Forestry and
Fire Clowns came to their school Tuesday.

guest speaker. Libby Scarborough
introduced Rep. Dickey, and he gave
a legislative update to the group.
CCREA President Peggy Kendrick pre
sented David Isreal, Crawford County
Teacher of the Year, with the Georgia
Retired Educators Outstanding Educa
tor Award. CCREA members were
thrilled to see long time member,
Minna West, return and win $$$ in the
Old Maid game. Kay Kicklighter was
chosen as October’s Teacher of the
Month. CCREA President-elect Shyrell
Owen presented her with a gift.
Celebrating the Rock ‘n Roll Theme of
Georgia Retired Educators President
Rita Marable, CCREA member Janice
Hunt and granddaughter, Chrysanna
Keenom, won best outfits.
