No additional charges in Fogleman arrests After the CC Sheriffs Office discussed the Fogleman case with assistant District Attorney, Elizabeth Bobbitt, the sher iff says there will be no additional charges added. Sister and brother, Sarah, 22, and Mark Fogleman, 18, were both arrested and charged with cruelty to children by negligence in the second degree following deputies respond ing to a dog bite case on Clay Road in Musella on November 27, 2013. Deputies found the three-year old male who was fully undressed being held by his uncle (Mark Fogleman) at the end of their driveway. The child had visible inuries and was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia by am bulance and later released into the care of the Department of Family and Children Services. Both of the Foglemans were released on $25,000 bond. The three year-old was under the care of Mark Fogleman when he sustained injuries while being unattended for an extended period of time, according to the sheriffs office. Further investigation found that it does not appear there is any evidence of a dog bite as first suspected. CC Farm Bureau finalist for state award Crawford County Farm Bureau (CCFB) was rec ognized as one of the top county Farm Bureau pro grams in the state during the organization’s 76th annual convention held on Jekyll Island Dec. 8-10. The county chapter was named a finalist for the prestigious McKemie Award - the highest honor that a county Farm Bureau in the state can receive - in recognition of the activ ities it sponsored during the past year to promote agriculture. CCFB was one of six county Farm Bureaus to be recognized as a finalist in the up to 1,330 -member category. Edd Harris is the outgoing CCFB president. Leighton Cooley is the incoming president. Georgia Farm Bureau, the state’s largest general farm organization, was founded in 1937. The organization has 158 county offices.
