vcralty opened September 21st under

iors, juniors and sophomores are
nearly all bock. Tlio trustees, hav
ing decided to raise the standard, hod
the examinations more rigid than
heretofore and, in consequence, many
had to color lower classes than they
expected. The qualifications for en
tering tlio present freshman class
would have advanced them two years
ago to tlie sophomore. Hence a great
many parents mid young men have
been disappointed, liy adhering to
these rigid requirements tlio college

There are about 200 students In
