Forty-Two Witnesses Sworn In Damage Suit, City Court Conclude* Most lifimrhiMri flwlon The November term of City Court ad journed for the term Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. The jurors and witnesses were excused Friday afternoon but the Appearance Docket was taken up Sat urday morning and consumed half a day. This has been one of the busiest ses sions of the court yet held in Tift county. While the criminal docket did not take up so much Jime, a great deal of work was done, and the civil week made up f8r the shortness of the criminal week, going five full days and into the sixth. The civil week was a remarkable one, from tiie amount of business transacted, and the heat with which some of the cases were contested. Perhaps the most noted case tried at this session was that of Glenn Sumner against T. E. Leach. Mr. Leach .drove his car into a horse and buggy in which Mr. Sumner was rldinr, killing the-hoty* instantly. The accident occurred at the intersection of the National Highway and the Whiddou Mill and Irwinvilie road, just south of Cydoneta. In all, forty-two witnesses were sworn and every inch of ground was botiy con tested by both sides. . 5 ' * A verdict in favor of the plaintiff for $140 was returned. Friday Afternoon. II. K.
