The stalks have eighteen matured joints
and are the longest ever seen here.

Fla., last week, visiting Mrs. Smith's

At an auction sale held in front of the
court house Saturday, one mule sold
for $75, one for $3 and a horse for $75.
All three were bid in by Mr. Rosser
Shaw.

Ottir Organizations Asked
to Join In Invitation to Confi
The Tifton Methodist church voted
unanimously Sunday night to Invite the
1020 session of the 8outh Grarfia Con
ference to meot here. The Invitation
will be extended by Bv. W. H. Bodd,
pastor, and others attending the con
ference to Dublin this week.
The matter was put up to the Board
of Stewards last week and they voted
in favor of inviting the conference. Sun
day night the church was asked to vote
on the matter and the vote was unani
mous in favor of Inviting, the conference
here next year. •'
Moultrie also is inviting the conference
next year, so if it doesn't come to Tifton,
it will not meet very far away.

Charlie Mitchell, the little 15 months
