Asheville, N. C.,, Sept. 14—A mes
sage here today from Robbinsville
says Laurence Edwards last Sunday
killed Wayne Crisp, stabbing him fif
teen times with a knife. The killing
occurred at Stecoah cireek. Kdwards
was arrested. According to accounts,
Crisp, who was drinking, shot at Ed
wards, the ball going through his hat.
The stabbing followed, Edwards chas
ing Crisp 150 yvards.

I desire to make answer to the in
quiry which is being put to me by
many daily with reference to the reg
istration of voters for the city. Un:
der the law cach voter is required to
register every vear to qualify himself
to vote in any city election.
The city registration book opens on
the first Monday in September and
closes on the first Monday in Novem
ber of each year. The registration
bock is open at the office of the city
clerk and every one desiring to reg

when it will be closed and the City
Registrars will make up the list of
qualified voters for the city for the
