The Dodge County Fair will be held

dications are that the enterprising citi
zens of Kastman and Dodge county
have arranged for oxe of the largest
and most complete events of the kind
ever held in south or middle Georgia.
Work has just been finished on build
ings of the latest and most approved
designs and a race track, one-half mile
in length, which repreesnts an expen
diture of $15,000, giving one of the
most fully and completely equipped
fair plants in the state. -
Applications have been received, ac
cording to renorts. from prospeciive
exhibitors, sufficient to take up every
foot of gpace in the seven big fair
huildings. The showing of agricul
tural products, live stock, woman's
work, girls’ canning clubs, boys’ corn
ana pig clubs and boys’ and girls’
pouliry clubs will be most ccmprehen
sive and thoroughly representative of
this section. Many manuiacturing
firms and corporations have engaged
space on the grounds for the exhibi
{ionof improved machinery and other
aricles cf interest to the farmers.
The, Dodge County Fair will by no
‘means be an event of local interest
only. Round trip fares of one fare plus
ll'\\'cmy-!‘z\'e cents hiave been granted
by the railroads from all points in
Georgia. Excursion trains will be op

regular republican state organization
of Georgia.
The republican national committee
and the republican national conven
tion decided last June that the organ
ization headed by Pickett and Jackson
was the regular republican organiza
tion of QGeorgia. This organization,
through its state central committee,
which miet in Atlanta July 4, appoint-‘

Of this announcement Mr. Jackson
says:
These electors will go on the re
publican presidential ticket, at the
head of which will appear the names
of Hon. Charles Evans Hughes, for
president and Hen. Charles Warren
Fairbanks for vice president. They
are each and all high-lclass business
men who stand high and command the
respect and confidence of the com
munity in which® they live and are
highly and well known throughout the
state. They are men wés® have made
a success in business and stand for the
pelicies of the republican party as a
maiter of principle and who believe
protection against foreign competj
tion is the vital thing for the upbuild
ing of the industries of the south
and of (Georgia in particular. .

Tocmbs county, holds the banner for
o one-horse farmer. He has already
picked thirteen bales of cofton averag
ing over 500 pounds per bale from his
farm and will gather several more be
fore the season ends. Mr. Brantley
has a fine crop of corn. peas, beans
and potatoes and sugar cane. His
neighhors agree that he has the blue
ribben on them when it comes to mak
