CHRISTMAS EGG-NOG.
. The Christmas spirit was in good
evidence at the home of Mr. W. H.
Parrish when he entertained a number
of friends Monday morning at an ex
cellent eggnog party. The eggnog
was served with several kinds of de
licious cake. Mrs. Parrish and little
‘daughter agsisted in serving the
‘guests, J. N. Moses, G. C. Henry, W.
M. Jones, J. C. Brown and Jim Gary.

from Atlanta, where she has been
studying china painting untier one of
the most noted artists in the state.
She expects to organize a class at

EARLY MORNING SERVICE.
The morning service at the Episco
pal church will occur at seven thirty
o’clock in the morning instead of elev
en o'clock, the usual hour, in order
that members of the congregation may
have opportunity to be present at the
services of consecration of the new
church in Hawkinsville.
Sunday school will be at the usual
hour, 10 o'slork. Evening prayer and

STORY HOUR AT LIBRARY.
The subject of the story hour next
Friday afternoon at the library at 3:30
o’clock is “Molly Make-Believe.” The
story is one of unusual interest for
children and will hold their rapt at
tention. Miss Ruth Scandrett will tell
the story. As usual the story will be
shown on the screen at the Palace
theatre Saturday morning.

POPULAR COUPLE.
Miss Nell S. Denton for the past two
vears principal of the Northern
Heights school, and a most attractive
and accomplished young woman, was
married this morning at 8§ o’colck to
Mr. Henry Mashburn, of Rochelle, the
wedding taking place at the home of
the bride’s brother-inlaw, Mr. Carl
Roundtree, at Columbus. Immediately
after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs.
Mashburn left on their honeymoon to
points in Florida, after which they
will make their home at Rochelle.
The bride formerly made her home
at Milledgeville, and has a large cir
c¢le of friends there and throughout
the state who wil Ibe interested in the
announcenient of her marriage. The
grcom is a prominent and esteemed
voung business man of Rochelle.
