The event is being sponsored by the Hoschton Downtown Development Author ity. For more information, call 706-654-3034. FOLIAGE FEST COMING UP MARCH 18 Foliage Fest is coming up on March 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at City Park in Jef ferson. A 5K will be held at 9 a.m. Pre-regis tration is required. The 5K is presented by Peace Place, Inc. Vendors will be at the Foliage Fest event with handmade crafts, artwork and nature-in- spired items. Food and beverages will also be available from local vendors. The spring tree sale will also be held with a variety of trees and shrubs available for or der. Entertainment is planned throughout the day. The schedule of entertainment includes: St. Patrick’s Delights at 10:30 a.m.; Fiddlin' Around with the Bryceland Bunch Plus at 11 a.m.; Next of Kin at noon; Carpenter School of Irish Dance at 1:15 p.m.; Red Oak Southern Strings at 2 p.m.; and The Sun- room Gang and Jam at 3:15 p.m. This annual event is held by the Jefferson Tree Council. JEFFERSON PLANS CIGARS, BOURBON AND MUSIC Jefferson will host “Cigars, Bourbon and Music” on March 31 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased by calling 706-367-5754. The event includes table seating, one tast ing from each bourbon represented, a cigar rolling demonstration and two cigars, bour bon-themed hors d’oeuvres and music by King Daddy Polecats. The event will take place in the Crawford W. Long Museum parking lot, located at 28 College St. AG FACILITY TO HOST MAGNOLIA BLOSSOM FESTIVAL The Jackson County Ag Facility will host a Magnolia Blossom Festival on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be an Easter egg hunt in the pasture, along with a craft show and festi val. Other highlights include vendors, an egg hunt, jump houses, farm animals, food trucks and more. The Ag Facility is located at 1869 County Farm Rd., Jefferson. COMMERCE TO HOST EASTER PARADE AND EGG HUNT ON APRIL 8 Commerce will host its annual Easter pa rade and egg hunt on Saturday, April 8, be ginning at 10:15 a.m. “Gear up kids with your best decorated bikes, trikes, wagons and battery-operated vehicles, it’s time for the Easter Parade,” town leaders said. The parade will begin at Spencer Park and will end at First Baptist Church of Com merce for the egg hunt. JEFFERSON COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT SLATED APRIL 8 The Jefferson Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 8, from 9 a.m. to noon. The egg hunt begins at 11 a.m. and is for children from toddler-age through 12 years old. Bring your blanket and enjoy a picnic breakfast. You can purchase breakfast from the Chick-fil-A food truck. Free pancakes will also be available. Children can visit the Easter bunny, ride the train, play on bouncy houses and enjoy crafts, face painting, cookie decorating, a petting zoo and more. This event is held by the Rotary Club of Jefferson, Church on the Hill, Southside Church and the City of Jefferson. CHURCH EVENTS: WARREN CHAPEL PLANS FOOD DISTRIBUTION Warren Chapel United Methodist Church will host a community free food distribu tion on March 11 from 12-2 p.m. This is a drive-thru event. Warren Chapel is located at 468 Homer Rd., Commerce. WOMEN’S WEEKEND RETREAT PLANNED AT FBCJ There will be a Women’s Weekend Retreat sponsored by First Baptist Church Jefferson Women's Ministries on Friday, March 10, and Saturday, March 11. Hours include March 10 from 7-9 p.m. and March 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is located at 246 Washington St., Jefferson.
