Week of April 9-15 Richard Everette House ELBERTON — Richard Everette House, 94, El berton and formerly of Carlton, husband of 68 years to the late Mae Chapman House, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at his residence. Mr. House was bom in Quitman County on Jan uary 9, 1929, the young est child of the late Rob ert Fulton House and Gladys Echols House. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Clint King; and his sister, Mir iam House. He graduated from Tignall High School and served his country faithfully in the United States Navy in Korea. Richard retired after 45+ years as a truck driver and was a farmer who particularly enjoyed bailing hay and tending to his cattle. Mr. House was a member of Carlton Baptist Church where he was a former deacon. He was also a member of the Georgia Cattleman’s Associ ation, the Georgia Young Farmers Association, and the Lafayette Masonic Lodge #23. Survivors include his children, John E. House, Elberton, Brenda H. and Ray King, Carlton, and Linda H. and Trey Dean, Bogart; grandchildren, Stephanie House, Michael House and Allison Dean; great-grandchildren, Bailey Yarbrough, Bentley House, Rylan House and Braxton House; and numerous other relatives and friends. Bom January 17, 1982 in Ridgewood, New Jer sey, Michael was forever a child in spirit. His en gaging personality, gen erosity and quick wit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. After high school in N.J., Michael served in the US Coast Guard in Wilmington, North Car olina, and later settled in the Atlanta-area. His friends and family benefited from his many talents developed through some of his favorite jobs. He was an exceptional chef and an expert cheesemonger. His most recent and lon gest commitment was in fulfillment services at ReaderLink in Winder. Michael, who played goalie on a soccer travel team in N.J., totally embraced Atlanta United from their first year on. As with everything he was in terested in, he immersed himself in learning all he could about MLS soccer. Michael leaves behind his mother and father, Marianne and Jim McGee, Sandy Springs; his sis ter, Robin McGee, brother-in-law, Jonathan Zu- rick, his nieces, Maya and Josephine, and his neph ew, Jonathan, Atlanta; aunts, uncle and cousins and many dear friends. Week of April 9-15 Patricia Conner Tucker GAINESVILLE — Patricia Conner Tucker, 88, of Gainesville (formerly of Winder), passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Mrs. Tucker was born on November 11, 1934, in Monroe, to her late parents, Helen Day Conner and Charles Arthur Conner. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Sarah Reid Conner. Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ronald Crawford Tucker, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Mike Register, Jacksonville, Florida, and Ellen and Patrick Toms, Gainesville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Patricia was a graduate of Agnes Scott College in Decatur. In addition to her career as a Geor gia History teacher in Barrow County, she was a tireless and dedicated wife, mother, church and community servant and friend to all. She often spoke proudly of her large extended family and her treasured memories of time spent with them. There are no words to capture all of the love she gave and all of the people she touched but her im pact is written on the lives of everyone who knew her. Jerry Benjamin Wilkinson BALDWIN — Jerry Benjamin Wilkinson, 77, Baldwin, went to his heavenly home with his Lord and to be reunited with his loving wife, on Satur day, April 8, 2023. Mr. Wilkinson was bom on September 20, 1946 in Banks Coun ty, to the late Thomas and Christine Andrews Wilkinson. He was pre ceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Dianne Byrd Wilkinson; and his brother, “Jake” Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson was a member of Lamar Christian Church. He had retired from BellSouth with 30 years of dedicated service as a lineman. Jerry will be remembered as a loving husband, fa ther, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved to spend time outdoors and was an avid NASCAR fan.
