Man taken to hospital after dogs cause bike wreck
A man was recently trans
ported to the hospital after
he was chased by a group of
dogs and fell off his bicycle
in Maysville.
Officers with the Jack-
son County Sheriff’s Office
were called to the Sagefield
Circle location for an agen
cy assist, damage to prop
erty call and animal com
plaint.
A group of 6-7 dogs had
charged at the man, caus
ing him to fall of his bike
and hit his head. He was not
alert enough to respond to
officers.
The dogs had apparently
caused issues with people
and other dogs.
The man was taken to
Northeast Georgia Medical
Center Gainesville.

PUBLIC HEARING
The Jackson County Board of Commissioners will hold a public
hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the Jack-
son County Courthouse at 5000 Jackson Parkway, Jefferson, Geor
gia, to consider the following matter:
1. Southwind Subdivision, represented by Angie Wiggins, is re
questing the creation of a Special Tax District for Street Light
ing to provide a mechanism for the property owners of the sub
division to pay for the street lights within the subdivision. (Tax
Map 094, Parcels 016)
