Murder suspect involved in altercation with jail officers

Recent arrests made
across Jackson County
The following people were recently arrested by vari
ous agencies across Jackson County:
JCSO
•Jeremy Daniel Boerrigter, 39, 198 Redstone Rd.,
Jefferson — battery-family violence; criminal damage
to property-second degree; cruelty to children-second
degree (felony); simple battery; and willful obstruction
of law enforcement officers.
•Deshun Marquese Cheeks, 37, 2830 Willow Ridge
Dr., Gainesville — giving false name, address or birth-
date to a law enforcement officer and hold for Hall
County.
• James William Ford, 40,2449 Gum Springs Chmch
Rd., Jefferson — hold for Habersham County and pro
bation violation.
•David Wayne Mayo, 59, 2254 Wayne Poultry Rd.,
Pendergrass — deposit account fraud (bad checks) no
more than $1,499 and probation violation.
•Robert Allen McDaniel, 36, 1771 Galilee Church
Rd., Jefferson — two counts of battery-family vi
olence; criminal trespass; two counts of cruelty to
children-third degree; two counts of cruelty to chil-
dren-first degree; three counts of probation violation;

•Justin Terrell Hicks, 17, 153 Golden Eagle Pkwy.,
Braselton — robbery.
•Darwin Dewardo Silva, 19, no address listed —
arson-third degree; impeding traffic flow; obstructing
highways, streets, sidewalks or other public passages;
pedestrian in the roadway; and possession and use of
drug-related objects.
•Dana Jean Thompson, 35, 2737 Smallwood Rd.,
Danielsville — driving while license is suspended
or revoked; DUI-drugs; possession of marijuana less
than an ounce; possession and use of drug-related ob
jects; and possession of methamphetamine.
•Roger Louis Dumas-Pierre Jr., 30, 383 Westchester
Dr., Athens — two counts of theft by taking.

• Conner Montana Lumley, 19, 69 Brookwood Ave.,
Commerce — battery-family violence and cruelty to
children-third degree.
•Juvencio T. Magana, 57, 163 Spratlin Dr., Jeffer
son — simple battery-family violence.
SEX OFFENDER
The suspect in a recent
Commerce murder was re
portedly involved in a phys
ical altercation with jail of
ficers recently.
Officers with the Jack-
son County Sheriff’s Office
were called for the report of
simple battery on a law en
forcement/detention officer
at the jail on Sept. 11.
An inmate, Xavier Clark,
had been involved in a
physical altercation with
jail officers. He was tasered
and put in a wrap restraint.
Clark, 23, of Commerce,
has been in the Jackson
County Jail since May. He
is the suspect in the shoot
ing death of Calvin Var-
num outside the Hardee’s
in downtown Commerce in
May.

allegedly grabbed, bit and

WEST JACKSON

West Jackson Rd. where a
man showed authorities a
Ring camera video of two
males, who obscured their
faces with their shirts, ring
ing his doorbell and knock
ing on his door. One of the
males covered the camera
while the other rang and
knocked. Both males then
ran from the residence.
The man said he believed
the males were attempt
ing to enter his home, so
he retrieved his shotgun. A
resident on Stanford Way
reported a similar incident
involving two males.
