Janesville (VVU.) Gasctte gives the ft,l
lowing account oi the tinsels of a “Young
America,” who has just “brought uu”
there. He started from somewhere in the
eastern part of New York State with fifty
cents in his pocket, iu the company with
another of the sume species who had twen
ty-five cents, and with whom traded caps
for two shillings to boot, and parted com
pany with him a quarter better off. Ar
rived at Syracuse, he obtained a situation
vs driver on the “raging canawl.” At
lie got on the cars and com
menced admiring the country as soon us
possible. The conductor came and re
called him from bis studied admiration so
suddenly that he lost his hat, and of course
his ticket. The conductor pitied him, aud
gave him check through to Buffalo, and
also n cap. At Buffalo he took passage
on a boat hound for Chicago, and acting
as cabin boy. At Milwaukee he asked the
captain for money to get clothes, lie
tound the depot and concluded to come to
Janesville, where he arrived safely with
five shillings lr. pocket. This “Young
America” is not yet fourteen years of
age.”
The Buffalo “Commercial Advertiser,”

Me to aptlirone more iniquitous and cor

which rule in New York, Wisconsin, and
other Republican States, we cannot see
into such a possibility. The defeat of
Seward for the Presidential nomination is
but a transfer of him and his, to some
Treasury of other Secretary ship in Wash
ington, where §80,000.000 of public plun

utno,” of course, makes the most of the
Commercial's course.
The ladies of Bologna last February
opened a subscription hi order to’ present
to Victor Emmanuel a splendid saddle,
which has cost more than ,£2,000. The
poorest women of Bologna has taken part
in this offering, and there is not one,
perhaps, who iias not contributed tier
bajocca for the purpose. This saddle was
presented on the 2d inst., to Ids Majesty
in tbe.ball of the Archiginario. It is of
red velvet, embroidered with silver and
gold. The bridle, of Morocco leather, is
equally adorned wit beautiful gold orna
ments, and for the front of the horse’s head
there is a sort of gold brooch, containing
three rich jewels an emerald, a ruby and
a diamond — forming the Italian colors.

Wlslnr's Balsam of Wild Cherry. |
This remedy has long been cherished by the 1
community fur its remarkable efUcacy in reliev- j
ing, healing and curing the most obstinate,
painful and long standing cases oT Cough,
CuUf, Injineuzo, Sore Throat, Bronchitis, ,
j A hooping Cough, Croup, Asthma, In flamma
tion. oj - lungs; while even Consumption
j itself has yielded to its magic influence when
fit other means have failed. Its whole history
proves that the past lias produced no remedy
of equal value, as a cure for the numerous ana
dangerous pulmonary affections vrqich prevail
all over the land.

GeN.tle-nen :—Believing in the great viitue of
your renamed Balsam of Wild Cherry, I cher
ub’ comply with the request of your traveling
agent iu adding my testimony to the many
which you have already received. I have been
acquainted with this medicine for many years,
and haw always heared it spoken cl in the
highest terms. A brother-in-law, who at one
time was much reduced with a severe and ob
stinate cough, was restored by it, after other
remedies had failed. I have also used it for
mvself at and children for obstinate coughs and
colds, with an uniforir and happy result, and
therefore recommend it centidentily as the lest
lung medicine in my knowledge.
Very respectfully, E. M A USE NET.
