A Gulden Wedding. —A wedding took
place yesterday morning under rather
novel circumstances. It seems that a half
century ago, one of our well known llc-
Hirew citizens, 51 r. Moses Holheinier le
came enamored of the charms of his good
better hall, Nancy, and a happy marriage
was the result. Yesterday they deter
mined to have a gulden wedding, a half
. century having passed, and accordingly a
large number of invitations were issued to
both relatives and friends. The company
assembled at the residence of one of the
daughters of the happy couple, corner of
Caroline and Lombard sts. The Rev. Mr.
Jlochlienuer, of the Eden st. congregation,
made some affecting remarks in relation
to the responsibilities’ **f married life, and
dwelt with much earnestness and elo
quence upon the object which assembled
tlie happy company. At the close of his
remarks all present, sat down to a festive
hoard supplied with a hill of fare which
invited the epicurean palate and was wash
ed down by one of the choicest of
champagne. — Balt. American, July 20.
