The World is not or Hone.
This world is not ur home.
Our final resting-place.
Where we most stay aud never see
Oar gracious Master’s face.
This world is not oor home,
Where siu and sorrow reign;
We have, 1 trust, a blissful home.
Beyond our toil and pain.
This world is not our home,
Where mortals pine away ;
Cur home is where the angels sing
In one eternal day.
This world is .iot our home, —
This world of tears and pain,—
Tot us so live that, when we die;
A heavenly world may gain.
O, may we keep in view
Thy dying agonice, Loud. •
And may we be, when called away,
Supported by Thy word.
A Cur ious Conscience One <i tin edi
tors of the New York Observer, who is
now rusticating in the country “down
East,” relates the following in his letter
to thiit paper:
“I heard of a man the other day who
had a curious conscience on the subject
of the Sabbath. It was Mr. Jones, who
lives down in the hollow. His neighbor
Johnson, whose hay was all in, saw that
a large quantity of Jones’ crop was down,
and as it looked very much like rain, lie
went over on Sunday, toward noon, to ad
vise him to get it in, and to offer tlift whole
force of his men to help. Jones and all
his boys were gone; nobody was at borne
but Jones’wife; and she said that ‘her
husband thought no good ever came of
working on Sunday, and so lie and the
boys had gone to the Sound a fishing.’ ”

Words in Dictionaries. —The publish
ers of Webster’s Dictionary, in order to
deterriiin the claims put forth by the pub
lishers of Worcester, have had the words
in the. vocabularies of the two counted, and
the ems in each measured, with the follow
ing result: The vocabulary proper of
Webster contuios 90.750 words, the ap
pendices 40,276, making a talal ot 140,056;
that of Worcester 103,855, the appendices
28,551, total 132,406 —makink 7,650 more
in Webster than in Worcester. The num
ber of ems in Webster is 14,747,352; in
Worcester, 13,273,532—1eaving a balance
of 1,473.820 ems of prited matter in favor

No one remedy i; louder railed for by the n< jcs
sities of the American people than a sure ami sal,
cure for Fever ami Ague. Such a remedy we am
now enabled to offer, with a perfect certainty that i
will eradicate tho disease, and with assurance, found
ed on proof, that no harm can arise from its use in
anv quantity. ’
That which protects from or prevents this di p>
der must be of immenso service in the eommunkies
where it prevails. Prevention is better .than e. —.
■or tho patient escapes the risk which he must
in violent attacks of this baleful distemper.
“ Cure “ expels the miasmatic poison of Ft
and Ague trom the system, and prevents th>
vclopmcnt of tho disease, if taken on the firsi
proadi of its premonitory symptoms. It is nut 7
the best remedy ever yet discovered for this cla i
complaints, but also the cheapest. The large (|
tity we supply for u dollar brings it within the re i’ ii
of every body-; and in bilious districts, where Fey an
and Ague prevails, every body should have it, and
use it freely, both for core and protection. It is
hoped this price will place it within the reach of nil
the poor as well ns tho rich. A great supcrio.lt/

Fever ami Ague is not alone the consequence of”
tho miasmatic poison. A great variety of disorders
arise from its irritation, amongwhicli are Neuralgia,
Rheumatism, Gout, llcadachc. BUndncss, Toothache,
Earache, Catarrh, Asthma, Palpitation, Painful Af
fection of the Spleen, Hysterics, Pain in the Bowels,
Colic. Paralysis, and Derangement of the Stomach,
ail of which, when originating in this cause, put on
the intermittent type, or heroine periodical. This
k Cure ” expels the poison from the blood, and con
sequently cures them all alike. It is an invaluable
protection to immigrants, and persons travelling or
temporarily residing in the mf.Nrious districts. If
taken occasionally, or daily, whilo exposed to the
infection, that will be excreted from the system, and
cannot accumulate in sufficient quantity to ripen into
disease. Hence it is even more valuable for protec
tion than cure, and few will ever suffer from i :ter
mittents, if they avail themselves of the protection
tliis remedy affords.
