ministering to the sick.

Death of Mrs- Strickland.
Mrs. W. T. Strickland died at her
home in Cabin district this morning
at 7 o’clock. Her death was not un
expected, as she had been nn invalid
for years while for the last few days
her condition was known to be very
critical. The deceased was fifty years
of age and is survived by her husband
and seven children.
Mrs. Strickland was a daughter of
the late Col. Thos. H. Connell, and
has one brother, R. S Connell, and
I four sisters, Mrs M. (). Slaton, Mrs. C.
W. Henderson, Mrs M. C, Brooks and
Mrs S A Patrick, all of whom are
living in this county.
The deceased was aconsis'ent mem
ber of the i'tiion Bipt.-t church and
her remains will be interred in the
burying ground of that church at 10
o’clock tomorrow morning.

business will be in Griffin, said State and
said county, but petitioners ask the right
to establish offices at other points, where
such seem necessary to the interest, of the
corporation. They also ask the right to
sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded,
I and to have and use a common seal, and
enjoy such other rights and privileges as
are incident to corporations under the laws
of the State of Georgia.
Wherefore, petitioners pray to be made
a body corporate under the name and
style aforesaid, entitled to all the rights,
privileges and immunities, and subject to
the liabilities fixed by law.
