B. W. Malone, who have been quite sick
a few days, are up again.
Misses Alma and Mary Dunbar, of llol
lonville, spent Saturday with the former’s
sister, Mrs. E. P. Shannon.
Oscar Putnam, an energetic and pros
perous farmer of this district, and Miss
Sallie Poilard, a charming young lady of
Brooks Station, were united in marriage
Sunday evening, at the residence ot J. E.
Putnam, Judge T. P. Nichols performing
the ceremony. The writer wishes them
much happiness.
Last Saturday night the messenger of
death entered the home of Mr. W. M.
Helms and took bis beloved companion,
Mrs. Mollie Helms. Her death was sud
den, and quite a shock to her many
friends. Mrs. Helms was an affectionate
wife, a kind and devoted mother, and an
ever-faithful neighbor, always ready to
administer to tb< sic’;. 1 for remains were
interred at County Line church Sunday
afternoon at 5 o’clock. The heart-broken
husband and motherless children have the
sympathy of the entire c immunity in
i their bereavement.
