Kelly, Lilian Bass, Charlote Boyd, Miss
Halstead, accompanist, and Mr. R. W.
Billin, director, will render an elab
orate vocal and instrumental program
on Georgia Go To Sunday School Day
at First Methodist church here. The
Glee club also includes the Mandolin
club, whose-selections willconstitute a
part of the program, as well as the
vocal numbers by the entire club.
The pleasure of hearing these young
ladies is due to the efforts of the
mittce sent by the Sunday school of
that church to Macon during the past
week for the purpose of obtaining
music for this occasion, which is one
cf the most important observed by the
school. When in Macon the committee
was advised that the Wesleyan Glee
club was decidedly the best musical
attraction which could be obtained in
the entire state, and through the
courtesy of Dr. C. R. Jenkins, presi
dent of the college, the people of
Americus will have the pleasure of
hearing the m gnificent program
which will he rendered by these young
’ ladies.
During their visit to the city, the
young ladies will be tendered an in
formal reception by the younger mem
bers of the Sunday school at the
Windsor Hotel, the parlors of the same
having been very generously tendered
by Mr. L. G. Council for this purpose,
on Saturday night from nine to ten
o’clock.
The club will arrive from Macon on
the 7:30 train and will be entertained
in the homes of the members of the
school until the following Monday
morning, and in addition to the re
ception tendered them at the Windsor
Hotel on Saturday evening will be
given an automobile ride ovbr the city
and county on Sunday afternoon.
The Sunday school of the First
Methodist church tenders the public
a most cordial invitation to-be present
on this occasion and feels that those
who come will be rewarded by hear
ing the most attractive musical pro
gram, both vocal and instrumental.
