TEA ROOM NOTES. t
The turkey cron in Sumter county t
has been abundant—the Tea Room *
proves this assertion. Friday was j
turkey day and the management will <
serve turkey dinners Tuesday and I
Wednesday of this week.
The turkey that on yesterday
Did gobble as he ate, J
Today is cooked and garnished,
And served on dainty plate; j
And it’s your time to “gobble”—
Just the irony of fate. 1
__________ 1
It is a jolly good-natured crowd <
that comes into the Tea Room these 1
days. Everybody is shopping sos ■ <
Christmas and entering into the real ’
spirit of the season: .
i’
Mary and Martha went shopping to- «
gether; ; ?
Said Mary to Martha: “Let’s not «
mind the weather;
We’ll shop all the day
And we’ll shop half the night
And we’ll lunch at the Tea Room
Doesn’t that suit you, quite?’’
Said Martha to Mary: “I have du-!
ties at home. i
I’m afraid that the kiddies
Will in the streets roam!”
But Mary’ Persuaded,
Martha phoned to inquire,
Told the cook to be sure j
To keep the kids by the fire;
Then Mary and Martha
Shonn-d lite and shopped long,
And they lunched at the Tea Room, $
And so endeth my song.
