Pollat Bug at New Orleans October 25-26 ATLANTA, Sept. 20.—The Na tional 801 l Weevil Menace conven tion which was cheduled to be held in New Orleans October 16 and 17, has been postponed until October 25 and 26, according to advices , received here. The postponements it is stated, wa s made necessary owing to con flict with a meeting of state gover nor and at the request of U. S. Senator Jos. E. Ransdell and Gov. John M. Parker, of Louisiana, • whose previous engagements pre vented their participation in the meeting on the original dates an nounced. The .New Orleans convention will be held under the auspices of th? Louisiana Barkers association and bankers through the entire cot ton belt are co-operating in making the bi" meeting p success. Gover nor Wellbornfi of the Federal Re serve Bank of Atlanta, embracing the states of Georgia, Vabama, Florida, Tennessee, Missis/ippi and Louisiana, which comprise! the sixth federal district, has issuer! a state ment, urging all bankers/ who can possibly do so to attenef the con vention. Governor Clifford M. Walker, of Georgia, received an invitation re cently from Governor Parker, of Louisiana, and the Louisiana Bank ers association to attend the con vention. The invitation was pre sented by Colonel G. T. McSlderry, Ala., presdient of the Alabama Farmers’ Union, and Colonel R. D. Bowen, a prominent planter and business man of Paris, Tex, Col. McElderry and Col. Bowen also called on J. C. Conwell, president of the Georgia Cotton Growers’ Co operative Marketing association, to enlist his interest. Large industrial corporations and financial concerns have already made courteous contributions to a campaign which is now under way to combat the menace of the wee vil in the South and the New Or leans gathering will seek to devise further ways and means to assist in the Ight. Continue a while and then take the same exercise, reversing the position by using the left hand against the head instead of the right. Now place the right hand behind the head. Now pressing against the head with the right hand, bring the head from far forward to far back ward. Continue until tired and vary . the movement by using at times the left hand instead of the right. You may now take a third cup of hot water. You may then take the following exercises. Stand erect, bend the knees, lower ing the body to the crouching posi tion. Rise and repeat until a distinct feeling of fatigue is noticed. On each occasion when rising to an erect position be sure to ‘‘snap’’ the knees backward with a slight "jerk" at the end of the movement. Next lie prone on the floor, face downward. Place the open hands near the chest, the elbows extended far out at the sides. Raise the body by straightening the arms. Now interlace the fingers of both hands behind the head. Now with the head far forward press against the head as it is moved far back ward. Continue the movement until fatigued. Then take another cup of not water. | Grasp the sides of a chair. Have the body leaning forward. Toes on the floor, the head over the scat of the chair. Bring the elbows close to Ik *hc sides and then raise the body by I* straightening the arms. Next place the palm of the right hand across the forehead with the head far back, clasping the right * r, st with the left hand. Now bring the head far forward, resisting the •novement vigorously with the strength of both arms. Continue Until tired.
