that a carload of dairy cattle will
reach here Tuesday for the far
mers of Laurens county purchased
by County Agent’ J. F. Hart, Jr.,
who is now away on a buying trip
for dairy cattle.
Some very choice cows are to be
in this car, and Mr. Hair, has stated
it will be the last one brought in
for some time as the supply of dairy
cattle has given out. So many south
Georgia farmers have been combing
the noi'.h Georgia counties in a
hunt for cattle that no more are left
Mr. Hart huAjbeen very careful to
get only the stock for Laurens
county farmms, and he has brou
ght no culls in nor will he do so,
Every cow he has brought to the
county has been carefully graded
and selected, and this accounis foi
the way these cows have made good
since being brought here.
HOG SALE AT DUBLIN
THURSDAY, OCT. 2L
fcSinSE .
.x/ul>l<lN, Oct.' B—Another hog
sale has teen set for October 25th
the last Thursday in this month, by
County Agent; J. F. Hart Jr., and
every farmer who has any hogs to
sell at that time is invited to enter
them in this sale.
It is earestly desired that all far
mers who intend to bring hogs to
the sale list them beforehand with
Mr. Hart. It is very necessary that
some idea of how many are to be
expected be on hand, that the cars
may be ordered to care for them.
The sale in September amount ed
to one carload, but they brought
the top of the market. It is expec
ted that more than one car will be
brought in at the next sale, as condi
tions wil be more favorable (to the
sale.
