SATURDAY. NOVEMBER 24, 1923 GEBIMFW FORIECLESHHLS Ford’s Offer To Again Be Brought Before Congress, With New Endorsement ATLANTA. Nov. 24.—(8y the Associated Press.) —Congressman William'C. Wright, of Georgia, has not given Up hope for the eventful success of the fight in congress for acceptance of Henry Ford’s offer for Muscle Shoals, Representative Camp, of Coweta, state assembly, stated. Mr. Camp called attention to a resolution, recently passed by the Georgia house, urging Accept ance of the Ford offer. “Mr. Wright is a member of the Military Affairs committee of the house of representatives and with Martin B. Madden of Illinois, has been leading the fight for the ac ceptance of the Ford offer,” said Mr. Camp. “Mr. Ford, in his origi nal offer, stated that he would not consider the purchase of the Muscle Shoals property unless the whole property was included, thus includ ing the Wilson Dam, the nitrate plants and the Gorgas steam plant on the Warrior river. Since sum mer the War Department has sold the Gorgas steam plant and those friends of the Ford offer, farmers generally and the people of the whole South who have seen in the purchase of this property by Mr. Ford a real economic blessing for this section, have felt downheart ed, and the news that Mr. Ford is still interested in the matter comes as a very pleasant encourage ment. “Congressmen Wright and Had den propose a resolution in con gress authorizing the erection oi another steam (plant in lieu of the Grogas plant, and the acceptance of the Ford offer immediately. “The following resolution intro duced in the Georgia house of rep resentatives last week and unani mously passed gives a statement of the. feeling of the people of Vreor gia on the subject. The resolu tion having been introduced by the representatives from Mr. Wright's district. ‘Whereas, the cotton farmers in the State of Georgia and the South, using high priced fertilizers in their efforts to grow cottcn have had their cotton crops destroyed by the boll weevil because of an inade quate supply of high priced calcium arsenate with which to destroy the boll weevil, and many are now even unable to pay their taxes; and “ ‘Whereas, it is believed that fertilizers and calcium arsenate can be produced at Muscle Shoals by me ,as of electric furnace methods r.nu, industrial chemistry on a com mercial scale which will furnish a more adequate supply of cheaper and high grade fertilizers and pos sibly calcium arsenate; and ‘“Whereas, Henry Ford in his offer tor Muscle Shoals agrees to •‘manufacture annually nitrogen and other commercial fertilizers” THE STANDARD the big DOLLAR sale MONDAY AND TUESDAY SI.OO will buy 6 yards regular 25c Pajama Checks; full yard wide. Then they become overworked, get sluggish, clog up and cause all sorts of distress, particularly backache and misery in the kidney region, rheumatic twinges, severe headaches, acid stomach, constipation, torpid liver, sleeplessness, bladder and urinary irritation. The moment your back hurts or kid neys aren’t acting right, or if bladder bothers you, begin drinking lots of good water and also get about four ounces of Jad Salts from any good pharmacy; take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast for a few days and your kidneys may then act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia, and has been used for years to flush clogged kidneys and stimulate them to activity; also to neutralize the acids in the system so that they no longer irritate, thus often relieving blad der disorders. Jad Salts can not injure anyone; makes a delightful’effervescent lithia water drink which millions of men and women take now anjbthen to help keep the kidneys and urinary organs clean, thus often avoiding serious kidney dis orders By all means have your physi cian examine your kidneys at least twice a year.
