Learn your boys to respect the law of the home, he said, early in life and there lay the foundation for him to respect not 'only the laws of the community and 'state in future, but also to know (and live by the laws' of God and Na ture during more mature years. As serting that “the weakest spot in America today is the growing ten i dency toward lawlessness,” Dr. Barker declared the man must free is the one who refrains from doing those things he knows to be wrong.” The laws of the commun ity and state and nation are no more binding upon the individual, he said, than the laws of society, the laws of nature and the laws of God. The father who adheres to these ■ principles, Dr. Barker told his hear ers, does his duty toward his boy and his community in greater de gree th.hi the one who belongs to an organization that takes the laws in its own hands. “You have no business taking the law into your own hands,” said he. “It’s risky busi ness, and no individual organization has any right to do so, except where a state of absolute anarchy exists and this doesn't exist in Americus, Georgia. Dr. Barker then went into an ex position of the great secret of life as this should be imparted to boys at given ages in life, his talk along this line being one to inspire the highest and cleanest standard of living not only among boys at ev ery age, but among mature men and married couples, temperance in ev ery relation being stressed through out.
