BABY PEGGY ON PROGRAM AT THE RYLANDER SATURDAY Uijjjjstly accused of murder and then suddenly confronted with the care of an infant is the harrowing experience of Harry Carey in his latest picture, ‘The Miracle Baby,” to be shown at the Rylander Thea ter on Saturday. Carey has taken to the woods to escape the authori ties and he strikes up with an old prospector. Together they find an infant in the cabin where its par ents lie dead, and true to the code of the West they take up its care. With the aid of a book on “how to feed infants” they endeavor to raise the child and succeed very well up to the teething point when they have to call in the doctor. In order t 6 call the doctor Carey mtist return to the town where he is wanted for murder and where also lives the girl he loves A series <>» adventures clears him of the mur der charge and in addition to this gets him the girl as a bride, also a mother for “The Miracle Baby.” In addition to ‘The Miracle Baby,” Baby Peggy will appear in one of her two reel comedies, '.Miles of Smiles,” and William Dun can in the eleventh chanter of “the Steel Trail.” Today’s attraction at the Rylan der is Jackie Coogan's latest fea ture production, “Long Live the King,” which scored such a tremen dous hit with audiences at that theater on Thursday. “FLAMES OF PASSION” AT DUDLEY’S TODAY I his outdoor production may be truthfully characterized an abbre viated serial for there is not a reel that does not unfold some sort of thrilling escapade—-and all combine in the, presentation of a picture that is at all times entertaining and par ticularly melodramatic. However, the outstanding thriller is a well staged and realistic forest fire to ward the close of the picture. The cast is a hard-working’ one and gets busy the moment th.f pic ture is flashed on the screen. There are fights on floating logs, on house tops—and wherenots, with three daringg rescues—but all these fade away in comparision with the for est lire and a subsequirent rescue in which hero saves* the lives of sweet heart and her father. Perhaps tile theme itself, aside from the father angle has been used time and again tor there is the jealous rival of the camp, the unsuccessful suitor from the city, the rich man’s daughter who seeks the hand of our hero who loves the girl of the backwoods, etc., but withal that “Flumes of Passion’ furnishes delightful and worthwhile entertainment.
