Alumnae and former students of
Weslayan College living in Sumter
county will gather in Americus for
a dinner c-n the night of Saturday,
March 29, io mark the opening of
the million dollar Greater Wesleyan
campaign it is announced. Miss
Carrie Speer, has been appointed
chairman for the county ad plans
for the affair are now being com
pleted.
There are 39 Wesleyan women in
Americus alone and a total of 4 i
in Sumter county, making this com
mPoity one of the more important
alumn’ae centers. All the alumnae

WASHINGTON. March 21.—The
creaion of a <;ommittee to investi
gate the charges that millions of
dollars worth of government bonds
have been duplicated at the bureau
of printing and engraving was rec
ommende,d today to the House by
the rul'jg committee.
The investigation had been de
manded by Representative King, of
Illinois, who proposed to have the
hqrise banking committee conduct
the inquiry.
Charges of irregularities were
made by Charles B. Brewer, special
attorney of the Department of
Justice, who made the investigation
for Presiden Harding, which led to
the dismissal of 28 officials two
years ago.

“Gold Madness” is said to be a fast

adapted from James Oliver Cur
wood’s fascinating story which ran
in serial form in a popular magazine
recently under the title of “The Man
From Ten Strike.”
