Dr. Carl W. Minor announced to day. The postpoi >eemnt is due to the Chautauqua here, it is stated, it beng the purpose of the pastors of the city to aid in the Chautauq’-a movement in every way possible. NEW RULES GOVERN TEACHERS LICENSES .County school Superintendent E. W. Dupree has been advised cf new rules just promulgated by the 4tate board of education which re gulate the granti'i(g of licenses cf teachers in future. Under these rules, the method of examinations is changed!, with all examination papers to be passed upo;? by the state board, instead of the county authorities, as in the past. Blanks upon which county school jsuper intendert, and temporary licenses will also be issued by Supt. Dupree subject to final approval by the state board. Teachers’ licenses may may also be secured by appli cation, and upon presentation cl proper credentials, but all desiring licenses must stand examination at the end of the eriod for which they have already been licensed. Warren S. Stone, grand chief of the order, will be the principal speaker on the program, and is speaiking today in Savannah eri roifte to Miami. After the executive sessions arc concluded the members of the con vention will go to Havana, Cuba, to enjoy several days in sight-see ing before returning to their homes DURWARD GEORGE DIES ' OF INJURIES SUSTAINED ALBANY, April 4. Duward ' George, 15-year-old Albany High school student,,died at a local hos pital atl.a late hour last night as a result of injuries received last Friday when he was knocked down by an automobile driven by G. A. Tye, a member of the Americus High school baseball team which played, here that day. Young George jumped out of one automobile and ran directly in front of the other, according to eye witnesses, and no blame is at tached to the Americus youth. Sheppard farm, tb> Bob Brady farm ar d the Mussel, white farm are to be recharged by a man from the sitate department and will be used by County Agent Drake in dipping for lice on cut tle needing this service.
