FORMER BANDIT IS CONVERTED BY BROTHER KANSAS CITY, May 30. —It took 31 years for Daredevil Alex to “get” .Rocky, the Bounder. But in the sun set of the lives of the two brothers, once famous Western adventurers, the feat was accomplished. The Rev. Alexander Adiar, 75 years cld, re formed member of the Jesse James bandit gang, preaching Sunday in a revival service at the Confederate Home at Higginsville, gave a. stirring call to his aged audience to hit the trail for salvation. One of the first to respond was a power fully built man of 90, weeping as he knelt at the altar. It was Mortimer Adair, abas “Docky Moore,” or ‘Docky, the Bounder,” as he was once known, from the docks of New York to the Black Jack thickets of Okla homa. It was the first meeting of the brothers in 31 years and, marked the end of a search which Alex Adair,, bandit-evangelist, had made. Now-a-days, the woman who gets angry when kissed, simply spends a few minutes before her mirror—and is made up again. The best essentials to make up, are found at Nathan Murray’s. When mother-in-law threatened a visit, the couple in the small flat said they had no room for com plaint. The most fussy people have no room for complaint when they trade with Churchwell’s. It’s not necessary to teach a hen to pray and say ‘‘Now I lay me” instead, feed her on Tuxedo Feed from The Harris Grocery. Before marriage a man will sing “Every Morn I’ll Bring Thee Vio let!” Later, he will kick at bring ing home a little flour, instead of some of those good Model Bread Co.’s rolls. While it’s higher hire to employ carpenters to work on inferior lum ber, it’s lower hire when they use material from Jno. W. Shiver’s. Even the man with twins in the baby carriage, rolls his own.
