Bolton, hoster Tuesday morning at her home on BarloW street, complimenting Miss Kathleen Denham, a lovely bride elect of this month. This is the first of a round of beautiful social affairs that have been planned for Miss Denham to be given during the weeks preceding her marriage of the afternoon of the 26.. Throughout the living room din ing room and wide hall where the guests were entertained quantities of gorgeous summer blossoms were used for decorations, larkspur, cal liopsis, gladioli, sweet peas and pink hydrageass, effectively combined : n wicker baskets wall pockets and vases and placed in every available space. Miss. Denham was lovely in a morning costume of grey flat crepe, with touches of ecru net about lhe waist, forming a becoming fichu. Her hat was a smart model of blue straw, with rhinestone ornament. RS ELECT OFFICERS FOR COMING YEAR An interesting meeting of the Council of Safety Chapter of the Daughters of th e American Revo lution was held Tuesday morning at the home of Mrs. F. L. Holt on Rees Park, with Mrs. James Rees and Mrs. Henry Glover acting as hostesses with Mrs. Holt on this occasion. Mrs. Holt’s home was unusually lovely with quanttiies of beautiful garden flowers artistically arrang ed throughout the rooms where the guests were received. Flag Day was observed and an interesting Flag Bay program was carried out and at its conclusion a busines session was held when of ficers were elected for the ensus ing year: Regent, Mrs. Walter Maynard. vice regent, Mrs. Thos. Harrold; treasurer, Mrs. J. L. Sparks; recording secretary, Mrs. James Rees; corresponding secre tary, Mrs. H. B. Allen; registrar, Mrs. E. B. Everett. Mrs. J. E. Hightower, Mrs. Z. A. Littlejohn and Mrs. W. D. Moreland were ap pointed to serve on the board of manager. CATO ENTERTAINS FOR MISSES PARKER AND DENHAM Mis sMary Parker and Miss Kathleen Denham, charming brides elect of this month, shared honors Tuesday afternoon at a beautiful bridge party at which Mrs. Eugene Cato was hostess at her home on Rees Park. Beautiful summer blossoms formed a charming decoration for the rooms where the guests were entertained, larkspur, sweet peas, coreopsis and gladioli effectively combined carrying out a varied but unusually attractive color scheme. Miss Eugenia Parker won the high score prize, a deck of cards, and the honor guests were pre sented with dainty hand-embroider- , ed guest towels. Miss Parker wore a beautiful aft ernoon model of moon-glow chif fon with embroidered motifs of sil ver and ribbon. A hat of ecru Neapoltian straw with touches of lace and peach colored completed the lovely costume. Miss Denham wore a stunning costume of poudre blue flat crepe, beautifully embroidered in white braid. Her hat was a becoming French model of blue straw trim med with flowers of newly blown orchid color deepening to laven der. Late in the afternon, afetr the conclusion of the game, a salad course with an ice was served. The guest list included eight ta bles of intimate friends of the hon or guests. ♦ ♦ ♦ MR. AND MRS.
