PAGE SIX ELLAVILLE Revival services are being con ducted at the Baptist church this week by the pastor. Rev. W. M Marshall, assisted by Rev. E F. Campbell, pastor of the First Bap tist church at Gainesville, Ga. Th? choir, under the leadership of the pianist, Mrs. Bessie Lou Lightner, is rendering excellent singing. The attendance is good, persons of all denominations being present at eaca service. _ Two services are held daily. Four o’clock in the afternoon and S o’clock in the evening. Rev. Mar shal] announced that the meeting will continue through Sunday. The following teachers have been elected to teach in the rural schools of Schley county during the 1925-26 term. M. Wel lons. Col C .R. McCrory, Schley coun ty’s representative in the Legisla ture, who spent the week end with his family, has returned to Atlanta. Miss Mabie Parks, who has been employed at Oglethorpe, is spend ing this week with her sister, Mrs. Irene Livingston. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Moulton, Mas ters Jamie and Frances Moulton, and Will Dennis Baugh attended the third district editor’s convention in Butler last Friday, and reported a most delightful occasion. The next meeting of the convention will be held in the fall in Americus. Mr. G. V. Cunningham, who has charge of the boys corn club work, spent a few days in Ellaville last week, en route to points in South Georgia. Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Collins, Miss Bertha Williamson and Miss Helm Collins left Monday at noon for At lanta, where they went to carry the latter to the Piedmont Sanitari um for treatment. Mr. W. H. Collins, of Albany, spent a few days in our city thi week with home folks. Mrs. T. A. Gregory and little son, James, of Sylvester, arrived a few days ago for a visit of several weeks . to her parents, Elder and Mrs. J. M. Murray. Mrs. Mollie Cook, of Columbus, came down Sunday to be the guest for some time of her niece, Miss Leila Williamson. Mrs. Clifford Johnson left a few days ago for Birmingham where she was called by the serious illness of her mother. Mr. and M>s. S. M. Callier are the guests for a few days this week of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Strange, en route from their home in Florida to Russellville, Ala., where they will visit their daughter, Mrs. George Cleere. Miss Thelma Gettys spent the week end with friends at Hopewell. Mr. and Mrs. 11. F. Hill and son, Byron, have returned from a week’s visit to Mrs. Fannie Cheney in Wynn ton. Mrs. S. C. Collins, Miss Cleone Collins and Miss Louise Collins- left Friday in their care for Jacksonville to be the guests of Mr. S. C. Col lins for several days. Mrs. T. J. Slade and young «-»ns, Jeff, Jr. and Milton, have gone to Concord to be the guests for several weeks of Mr. and Mrs. Robert 'Car rick. Upon their return they will spend a few weeks in Ellaville and wiil then go to Bradenton, Florida to reside. Mr. and Mrs. Kennith ScheP and little daughter, Evelyn, of Chatta-I nooga, Tenn., motored to our city I Tuesday for a visit to Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Williams. Before returning to Chattanooga, Mr. and Mrs. Schell will visit relatives in Ameri cus and Columbus. Mr ,T. J. Slade left Monday night on the Seminole for Braden ton, Fla,, where he has gone to make his home. Mrs. T. A. Collins returned the past week fro ma nextended visit to relatives and friends in Birming ham and Ensley, Ala. Mrs. Collins formerly resided in Birmingham. Misses Mildred, Sara and Kathryn Burt left Tuesday for Euene Vista, where they wil Ibe the guests of rel atives for a week.
