Led into court in New York to be’ar rainged on the charge of shooting to kill her husband, she moaned over and over “Don’t let him die. I love him so.” With face buried in her hand she b-tened to the district at torney as he read the charges against fa r, violating the Sullivan law in tnat she had a pistol in her possession without a permit, and of attempting to kill her husband. And when the judge held her without bail to await the outcome of her husband s injuries. Edith Davis was led back to her cell with tears streaming down her face.
