MONDAY AFTERNOON. JULY 20. 1925 WOULD PURIFY FUTURE UNIONS Purer Marriages Would Elimi nate Inherited Insanity, Is Kent’s Contention ATLANTA, July 20.—Purer mar riages and elimination of great deal of inherited insanity from communi cable diseases would be the result if a bill which has been introduced m the house is enacted into law, by Representative Kent, of Wheeler county, the author stated. The measure seeks to require pre sentation of a certificate by both parties concerned to the ordinary issuing the license before he can give permission for the marriage the certificate stating that both par ties are healthy and sound mentally and physically and being signed br a responsible physician. SCRIPT REVEALS KNAPP AS JEKYLL HYDE CHARCATER j (Continued from Page One) son of vital temperament, as the olood stream is uncertain. Often it comes up quickly and disappears just as suddenly. Therefore, impul sive action is the result. He may impress people favorably at one time, but the impression does not lasi. The writing is not that of a prac-' tical person, who uses his talents, wisely. He wastes his energy, as is indicated by the extra penline on the final “a” in Panella’s name. The word “Louis” is also cramp ed and is not easily legible. This shows the nervous strain he was un der when he wrote it and his lack cf responsibility. Under a powerful magnifying glass, one can see tha’’ the letters “o” and “s” in the word “Louis” were not well formed and were penned under unnatural pressure. The “o” is more like an “a” indicat ing the exictement and little con trol. The writing shows some original ity in the way the “L” and the “P"' are made. This originality undoubt edly could have been used to some good purpose if he had kept his bet ter nature uppermost. The writing is evidently that of a person who do' - i rot know his own mind, ard is mcking in control, rea sonableness, bal.nee an 1 poise. He evidently has lacked early training and been left G himself and h ; s own devices. DARROW. LEADER IN APE WAR, EXPLAINS PARADOXICAL SELF J (Continued tiom Page On®.) He chuckles at the question. He humps his shoulders and draws his head into a semi-circular socket formed by the gesture. A broad grin is upon his face. He is pleased by his paradoxical position. A great crowd has surged round. They are telling him he has made tiie great address of his life “It will go down as one of the great appeals for human liberty,” the editor of a liberal paper is sa v ing. Soon the pamphlet presses wilt be issuing his words to the reading world. 4 And he chuckles some more. “Glad you liked it,’ is his com ment. He winks solemnly at the reporter. “I Can’t Help It” “It’s my darn emotionalism,” he insists. “I can’t help it.” As a matter of fact ho is one of the most boyish personalities to be found in America at the age of 63. He is still ready to tight at the drop of the hat for any infringe ment on what he considers personal liberty. He may cynically smile at “causes,” but he’ll fight for them to the limit. Variously he has gone the eco nomic cycle—single tar., laho’’, unionism, socialism and the rest and, from the platforms, has expressed an economic agnosticism equal to his religious agnosticism. But, with the romantic crusader spirit, he will defend any -md all of them against rutside encroachment. Ready for a Fight' “Let man espouse that which, gives him greatest solace and com fort —whether it be the Koran, the Bible or the Socialist party,” he ad vocates, and roils up his sleeves for a fight. “You see,” he smiles, “I did. a lot of reading when I w.w a boy. I didn’t have any education to speak of. Mine was a little Ohio town, with the proverbial little red school house. “My father was studying for tee ministry—Unitarian. He was a great thinker; a great seeker of truths and facts. We were sur rounded with books of ail sorts and subjects. “And that was my rt-hool. I be gan thinking liberally from the day I began thinking at all. It’s Incurable “And then, in the labor fights that everybody knows aboiF I cot to thinking idealistically and acting emotionally. “Here I am 68 and I’m stiil at it. I tell you it’s incurable this emo tionalism.” And he smiled seif-con'-clously- - just as might a small hoy who. though caught stealing jam. stiil figures that he showed considerable dexterity in getting into the pantry.
