After the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. | Daniel were honored with a beau- 1 tiful dinner, given by Mrs. Wicker, j an aunt of the bride. During the afternoon, the young 1 ' couple left by motor for Orlando, where they will make their home. I The bride is the youngest daugh-1 ter of Mr. and Mrs. Feagin, and I was a popular and admired mem-[ her of the young social contingent,! of Americus, who wil Iregret that f her marriage takes her elsewhere , to reside. SIMMONS HOSTESS AT LUNCHEON FOR VISITORS One of the loveliest affairs on this week’s social calendar was the beautiful bridge luncheon given by Mrs. Howell Simmnos, at her home on Rees Park Wednesday morning, honoring her charming house guests. Mrs. Edwin Imig. of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and Mrs. F. G. Cotton, of New Orleans. The tables for the game were ar ranged in the spacious livin groom, which was unusually attractive on this occasion with a profusion of garden flowers in pastel shades used as decorations. Large bask ets, flower urns, and bowls held beautiful asters in shades of pink and lavender, purple altheas, and foxglove, effectively combined with fraceful sprays o fßose of Montan na. At noon, after the conclusion of the game, a tempting course lunch eon was served on the card tables. Mrs. Simmons was assisted in en tertaining by her daughters, Mrs. Robert Stuart, of Poplarsville, Miss, and Miss Josephine Simmons. Miss Mary Glover won the top score prize, a dainty pin cushion trimmed with French flowers and lace, and the consolation prize, a novelty sewing set. was won by Mrs. Taylor Lewis. The honor guests were presented with beautiful French boudoir pillows, trimmed with appliqued motifs of old lace and ribbon. Mrs. Imig was handsomely gown ed in white flat crepe figured in blue. Mrs. Cotton wore a stunning morn ing costume of yellow figured crepe. Invited to meet Mrs. Imig and Mrs. Cotton were Mrs. A. D. Gate woood. Mrs. Tavlor Lewis, Mrs. C. O. Niles. So she got a revolver and tried to hold up a taxi driver. She was so nervous, though, that the driver took the gun away from her and carried her to a police station, where she is awaiting trial.
