Coykendall, immigration officer of the Atlanta district, a total of twen ty-one former inmates of the At lanta federal penitentiary will be deported before October. Eighteen of these are now lodged in the Ful ton county jail, while the remainder have not yet been discharged from the prison. Practically all of the prisoners were convicted for attempting to smuggle narcotics into the United Btates, it was said. MAN WHO SHOT WIFE, TAKES OWN LIFE ATLANTA, Sept. 15.—Crazed with grief because he shot his wife on July 22, because she later filed suit for divorce, and because of the added fact that she had repeatedly repulsed his efforts to reconcile their differences, C. The manager was willing to take a chance that an efficiency expert might be more efficient than a hungry tramp in that methodical work of washing dishes.
