THE AMERICUS TIMES-RECORDER THURSDAY AFTERNOON. SEPTEMBER 24. 1925 Monday Night Marks Close of Largest Remaining Vote FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND MONDAY ARE MILE POSTS THAT MUST BE RE- GARDED AT THEIR FULL VALUE Never Again During the Times-Recorder s Mam moth Prize Distribution Will You Receive As Many Votes On Subscriptions As Up to 9 P. M. Monday, September 28th; Those Who Accomplish This Week Have Advantage. REAL WORKERS REWARDED This is an election where the real workers will be rewarded —the “best man” wins, regardless of who he or she may be. The three, four and six-year subscriptions are the biggest in their vote value. One six-year subscription counts 360,000 votes —36 times what one one-year subscription counts. If the sub scription is new there is a bonus of 360,000 votes. On top of this you get 100,000 EXTRA VOTES on every “club” of sl2 in subscriptions turned in and there is no limit to the number of sl2 “clubs” you may secure. RACE IS MIGHTY CLOSE Don’t overlook a single subscription anywhere. The race is so close that one good subscription may determine who will be ahead at the end of the big vote period. Get the “second sub scriptions”—friends who will give you another subscription in order to help you boost yow vote standing. Work done by candidates in the early days of the campaign seem today to be bearing fruit. Not since early in the campaign have so many subscriptions been received at the office from sub scribers themselves. This would indicate that promises are being made good. It is most desirable, however, that candidates col lect their own promises—then they are sure they have the sub scriptions. MAKE THIS WEEK COUNT Candidates will do well not to “kid” themselves this week. If you ever expect to do anything big for yourself in this race, the time is at hand to do it. This week, which ends on Saturday, is the one big mile post in the campaign. Those candidates who make the grade on high this week will pile up a real lead which slower ones will have to stretch themselves to meet. Next week is another week—by no means this week. Every active candidate will report this week with at least one club, but no active candidate who has any idea of carrying off one of the three big cars will expect to do it on production of one club a week. A half dozen clubs—six of them—is little enough for you to produce this week. Ten six-year subscriptions will just about attain the goal for you. Real candidates this week will produce real votes for real prizes. P WARNING! TO CANDIDATES ! (Republished From Rules First Published) 8. Votes are not transferable. Candidates cannot withdraw in favor of another candidate. Should a candidate withdraw from the race his or her votes will be conceded. Neither will it be permissible for candidates to give or transfer subscriptions, to another candidate. Votes on such transferred subscriptions will be subject to disqualification at the discretion of the manage- i ment. 9. Any collusion on the part of candidates to nullify com i petition, or any other combination arrangement or effort to the detriment of candidates or this newspaper will not be tolerated. And candidate or candidates entering into or taking part in such an agreement, arrangement or effort, will forfeit all right to a prize or commission. : Watch Your Step I ■ I DISTRICT NO. 1 District No. 1 will include all participants who reside within the corporate limits of the City of Americus.
