PAGE EIGHT President's Address, Parades, Dog Show Feature Legion Meet <By The American Legion News Service) OMAHA, Neb., Sept. 24.—Any thing from the dignity of a uresi dential address to the hilarity of a hound dog show may be enjoyed by visitors to the national convention es The American Legion at Ohama October 5 to 9. Five great parades, each vying with the others in interest and un osual features, are a part of the program. The grand parade with 100,000 marching Legionnaires will take place on Tuesday morning. Tliis spectacle will be reviewed by President Coolidge. Tlie $75,000 lecetrical parade of Ak-Sar-Ben, booster organiza tion of Omaha, will be seen on Wednesday 7 night. The ideas em bodied in the constitution of The American Legion will be portrayed by myraids of lights on the electri cal floats. A great military parade, includ ing captured German and Austrian war materials, i nwhich every avail able body of troops in the Seventh Army Corps area will march, will be held on Thursday. This parade will be followed in the evening by the parade of the funsters of The Amer ican Legion, the Forty and Fighters The furious frolic of the 40 and 8 initiation ceremoniese will follow fast upon the parade. The most unique and probably 1 the most mirthful of all the paardes will be staged on Thursday by the Forty and Eighters of Colorado when they put on their “First An nual Mutt Dog Parade and Show." The kids will lead hundreds of mon grels through the main streets of Omaha, after which the Mutts will be judged at the Mutt show and ptrezles of Rocky Mountain cana ries,” or donkeys, the erstwhile mounts of Colorado Forty and Fighters, will be awarded. Ten thousand regular army sol diers will take part ih the various militarymaneuvers scheduled, includ sng infantry, calvary, artillery, air services, chemical warefare service signal corps and tank corps. The demonstration of the chemical war fare service will be the most spec tacual and impressive even seen since the great clouds of gas and smoke rolled over No Man’s Rand. Swift airplanes will lay a smoke screen five miles in length. Three big caravans of real cow boys from the real cow ranges will put on a real back-breakin’, buull tossin,’ “eardown” rodeo, in which 500 horses and from three to four hundred cowboys and cowgirls will take part. A $15,000 night display of fire works, occupying 300 men an entire evening to set off, is a brilliant fea ture of the convention. Six night performances and two matinees of the great war play, “What Price Glory,” will show in Omaha with the original cast during the convention. In addition to the above features Ijegionnaires may participate in or merely look in on the following mis eellaneouus fun: A collegiate foot ball game, pistol, rifle and trap shooting matches, horse races, air plane stunts and races, polo matches drill contest (don’t crowd, boys), vaudeville entertainments and vari iouus informal entertainments en gendered by the spirit of the occas ion. “Omaha, during the five days of the convention will be a verit able three ring circus with three *ows daily,” is the way a Legion official pictured the coming nation al party of the American Legion. And one of the moat important things for her to do is to use a non-irri tating, safe penetrating lubricant to keep the skin, muscles and ligaments soft and pliable—thus aiding the tissues and muscles to relax and adjust themselves to the changes during motherhood. Mother’s Friend is just such a preparation. It is the formula of an eminent, physician and has been used by expectant mothers for over three generations. No woman await ing the joy of motherhood should allow the days to pass without using Mother's Friend. Mrs. Laura Hendrix. Gracemont, Okla., writes: “I used Mother’s Friend with all my babies and I think it is the grandest help that has ever been discovered for ex pectant mothers. I can’t say too much for it.” Mother’s Friend has saved thousands of expectant mothers from much useless suf fering. It relaxes those drawing, stretch ing pains so common during expectancy. Mother! Insist on Mother’s Friend—the same as used by our mothers and grand mothers —don’t watt —start using tonight— and meanwhile write Bradfield Regulator Co., Dept. 31.
