PAGE TWO LEAGUE TO HOLD ECONOMIC MEET Adopt* French Proposal for a World Wide Economic Conference Soon GENEVA, Sept. 24—The League of Nations assembly today adopted amid enthusiasm, the French pro posal for a world wide economic conference under the auspices of League. M. Locheur, former French min ister of commerce and sponsor of the project, warned the assembly that the task would be difficult and said the truth must not be concealed from the world’s peoples, and that “it is impossible for us to consider the problem without the aid of the labor organizations.” He wanted the aid of all nations in seeking a solution, which he cautioned might not be achieved for several years. Representatives of Holland Belgium, Italy and Spain spoke in support of the reso lution. DIRIGIBLE VICTIM’S FATHER COMPLAINS OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 24-—' Renewing his objections to the care given the body of his son, Howard W. Sprattley, killed in the wreck of the Shenandoah, William H. Sprattley, a railroad chief lineman, living here telegraphed Secretary of the Navy Wilbur as fololws: "Your report in regard to no un dertakers at Davey, Ohio, is not sat isfactory to me or the public. The way to handle a wreck in time of peace is to care for the injured, bury the dead with respect, and in vestigate afterwards.” The telegram referred to an ex planation from the navy department setting out the difficulties in hand ling the bodies of the victims due to lack of undertaking facilities and the need of haste because of the hot weather.
