The suit was instituted by the heirs of the late Richard Croker, former Tammany Hall chieftain, to have declared null and void the deeds of conveyance of the proper ties to Bula Croker, second wife of the wealthy political leader, They contended that they should be de ereed as owners of the properties with Mrs. Croker, who would then share a dower right as widow. Under a ruling handed down by Federal Judge Lake Jones, the de fendants have until October 1 to file a reply to the decision of Fed eral Judge Rhydon M. Call, dismiss ing their motion to quash the bin •f complaint. The complainants Howard Crok er, Ethel Croker White, Richard Croker, Jr., all citizens Ors New- York state, and Florence Croker Morris, a British subject, set out in Keep Baby Well In Hot Weather As Millions Have Baby is easily upset in hot weath er. especially while teething. These were acquired i by the political leader in two deals, i the first on October 24, 1910, and the second on July 31, 1917. Recital of transactions between Richard Croker and his wife Alice Eccleston involving the first tract is contained in the complaint. Croker and his wife attempted to transfer the land to her on November 7, 1917,, and it was subsequently re conveyed to them the complaint set out. It was declared further in the bill that there was no consideraion to the transactions. A portion of the property was conveyed by three special deeds to Mrs. Bula Croker. Croker and his second wife subsequently entered into a contract with J. B. McDonald authorizing him as agent to sell part of the properties and turn the pro ceeds over to Mrs. Croker. The complaint sets forth that none of the properties was sold under this con tract, however. In the contract writh McDonald, Croker gave him the option of pur chasing the property if no sale for it should develop. After the death of Croker McDonald and the Palm wondering if there was anything in the world that could help my trou ble. “I tell you if I hadn’t gotten Kar nak when I did I believe I would have had to given up completely and taken to my bed. “One day I read a statement about Karnak that described my case so perfectly that I sent for a bottle right away and, honestly, by the time f finished my first bottle I could eat anything I wanted with out it hurting me a bit. The pain in my back disappeared as if by magic, my kidneys began function ing properly, and I felt like a new person. “I have taken four bottles of Karnak now, and feel as well as any one could feel at my age. I haven’t an ache or pain and do my house work without the least trouble. Nights I sleep like a child, and mornings I get up cheerful and hap py. Before I got Karnak my cir culation was so poor I used to get up feeling numb all over, but now that has all disappeared and my circulation just seems perfect. Why, I could talk about Karnak all day and then not say half enough for it.” Karnak is sold in Americus by Planters Drugg and Seed Store, Howell’s Pharmacy and leading druggists everywhere.—(adv.) Beach Estates are said to have at tempted to exercise that option by depositing a sum of money in the registry of the Palm Beach county' circuit court. The bill of complaint asks that Richard Croker be decreed to have been the bead of a family residing in Florida at the time of his death and that the land be decreed the homestead of Croker. It asks that the deeds to and from Alice Eccles ton to be declared null and void and that the children of Croker together with his widow be declared the heirs of the estate. Bula Croker moved that the com plaint be dismissed in a document filed January 27. The other de fendants presented like motions on February 4, at which time they also sought to strike out certain allega tions in the bill. In her motion to dismiss the bill, Mrs. Croker declar ed that the facts set out in it are in sufficient to justify the relief ask ed by the complainants, and that Takes the Place of Drastic Calomel “Pepsinated” Calomel Acts Better—Does Not Cramp or Sicken Yet Is More Effective Than Ordinary Calomel Never take another dose of the old stye “raw” calomel. It is too drastic on your system! There is a newer and more im proved kind that is mild and pleas ant. It does not tear through your system like a streak of lightning. It is combined with pepsin which makes it act slowly, thoroughly and more effectively. This new pepsin and calomel com bination is known as “pepsinated” calomel. It has all the beneficial system cleaning and germ inactivat ing effects of ordinary or “raw” calomel—but the drastic and un pleasant effects have been entirely neutralized by the digestion aiding pepsin. Nasty “follow up salts” are not even necessary. HAND BAGS, SUIT CASES AND LEATHER POCKETBOOKS REPAIRED By N. R.
