The S2OO Extra Prize Offer which closed last night, was indeed a neck and neck affair. Not until after an accurate check and double-check could the winner be determined, and then in tw ocases the point count was ’ so close that a few subscriptions would have changed the completion of the final findings. The winner of the special cash has nothing to burst any buttons about because there were several others who were mighty close run ners-up. In fairness to all canddiates the number of points of the win ner will not be published until the final vote is published. VICTORY OR DEFEAT, WHICH? REAL SUC CESS OR FAILURE DEPENDS ON 20 HOURS i Times-Recorder’s Campaign Gains Momentum As Time of Close Nears; Today, Friday and Saturday All That Remain of Last Big Vote Opportunity 1 ADVANTAGES EARNED BY SATURDAY BIG FACTOR; SHOULD BE HARD TO OVERCOME Six-Year Subscriptions Until Saturday Are Worth Over 600,000 Votes Each; Two Credit Over 1,200,000; Extensions Are Valuable Three days remain—today, Fri day and Saturday—of the third and next to the final period in The Times-Recorder circulation sales empaign and SIO,OOO Gift Distribu tion. Saturday, the all-important day looms up in full before every candidate who is striving for one of the big beautiful, luxurious motor cars, diamonds, an 3 other prizes or purses of cash. The big third period comes to an end on the stroke of nine Saturday night. Big votes end Saturday night at nine o’clock. The extension and second payment vote privilege ends, too, promptly on the stroke of nine Saturday night. Circulation sales campaign headquarters will be open Saturday night until nine o’clock and turns-ins by mail will be accepted if postmarked before nine o’clock Sat urday. The last substantial bonus for the new subscriptions ends Satur day night also. The final week sees the lowest of all vote schedules in effect with no final favors. Make Winning Effort Now The time is short. Three days are left on the period. A day lost now may be won or lost from effort or lask of it this week. Today, Friday and Saturday may put you across the victory line. It is up to you, youself. A good lead secured this period should be next to impossible to over l come the final days of campaign. I This campaign momentum. Today is is going strong. The campaign | started off slowly and everybody , seemed to be sleeping. But now all | this is changed and never has a cam paign in the section of Georgia wax led so warm. In some cases more | than gifts alone are at stake. Are Turning Every Stone Candidates are turning over every stone that might conceal a few winn i ing votes. Some are traveling the . country far and wide in search of [subscriptions. Others are concentrat [ ing on a definite territory. Hustle ihere and hurry there seems to be the slogan this week for ail the workers. It is this spirit which has made The' d. R. circulation sales campaign one of real activity—so much so chat real honor will be due the ones who come out victorious. The big subscriptions are what count the most now. One new six ■year subscription with clubs,, counts I more than six hundred thousand (600,000) votes until Saturday night Two such subscriptions will produce more than one million two hundred thousand (1,200,000) votes Five new six- year subscriptions will credit you more than three million (3, 000,000) votes. Ten new six lyear subscriptions this period will give you more than six million (6,000,000) votes. Must Keep Active C andidates, your campaign is in your own hands. Your campaign is up to you. You alone are to blame it you neglect it. This we know, candidates are producing as never I before. Turn-ms were never greater. llf you cannot write up subscrip- I tions the fault must be yours for I others are accomplishing. You have | three days yet this period to do .something—today, Friday and Satur | day. Watching “Otter Fell ow” Nn doubt some of the candidates who today look “harmless” will be among the strongest when the end comes. They are all watching the other fellow and arranging and Planning to go them better. This much is certain—whoever wins any one of those gifts will pro bably do so by a very narrow margin through the winning scores will i doubtless be large. If present leaders are figuring that their leads are suf- I ficient they are due for disappoint i me, 't when the winners are announc ed. That present credits of any single candidate will not be large en ough to win any one of the stellar gifts is our prediction today. Now, in the face of that, if you can remain inactive this week, if you can stand idly by and let someone else earn the gift y OU wan t then you do it with your eyes open and the results should be no surprise to you. Big Subscriptions Count Most. Thebig subscriptions are what count the most now. Get the two, three, four, five, and six year sub scriptions—they are the greatest in A °te values. And are six years sub scriptions are supreme over all. Ex tensions, too are worth thousands of votes while the extension schedule is effective up to Saturday night. Subscriptions make more votes this week than the same subscrip ■ tions can earn you if you wait uptil ' next week to turn them in. Make a : thorough canvass for a big finish —• i a wiwnning finish.
