The gong sonnds to night at 9 o’clock on this last big vote period. The campaign ends a wwee* from tonignt. Circulation campaign headquarters will be open tonight until 9 o’clock for personal calls. It is now but a matter of hours— something likek Boror 9 hours. In this short period of time'candidates have the best opportunity of landing votes on the “double quick” and lit-' erally cinching the gift they desire. A lead secured by the end of this period—before the gong soundst to night—should be almost impossible to overcome. Some Final Instructions Be careful in filling out your sub scription stuubs, always writing or printing the names of the subscriber plainly so there will be no mistake in the name, address, amount or length of £ime in entering the sub scription. Extensions should be plainly marked with the length of time of the first subscription and the period in which the subscription originated plainly designated. Candidates are urged to fill out their stubs at home. It is likely candidates will arrive at headquar ters all in a bunch as they did on the. two previous period closes. The big subscriptions count the most today. One new six-year sub scription, with clubs, counts more tnan six hunared thousand (600,000 votes until the expiration of the. big third period tonight. Two such subscriptions wwill produce more than one million two hundred thou sand (1,2uu,000) votes. Five new sixyear subscriptions will credit you more than three million (3,000,000,- OuO) votes. Ten new six-year sub scriptions until the closing hour to night will give you more than six million (6,000,000) votes. This schedule will never be repeated or extended. Only Until Tonight Second payments, or extensions, of subscriptions originating in the first and second periods can play an important part in your campaign until the close tonight. The final wweek affords no opportunities through extensions. Both the third period schedule and the extension 'ote schedule go out of effect to night, not to be repeated. What candi aates do today will be perhaps the greatest single factor in determin ing their statu sin this campaign, wneher they end their campaign a victor or finish as an “also ran.” We believe this is true—that no candi date this morning has enough votes to assure him or her any single gift is yet to be won and today will large ly determine results.
