If there is any phrase you 1 are not clear about it is your duty j to find out at campaign headquarters! The burden is on you, the candidate ■ this week. The sealed ballot box is now 10-1 cated at the Planters Bank. During i banking hours it is available to can- 1 didates and their friends who will make turn-ins to the box, not to cam paign headquarters. But Three Day. Left This campaign is now almost over.' Three days are left. There will be ' some who will fight harder than everl now. There will be others who will “lay down” and probably as a result will be compeled to accept defeat. ' We believe we are speaking the truth 1 today when we say that anyone who sits back, satisfied or semi-satisfied v, ith past performance, wili find oth-' ers pushing ahead and leaping the; rich rewards. There is nothing certain, nothing; sure. Every indication points to the fact that the biggest gifts will be won in the ballot box this week. Do you understand what we mean? It is just this—leaders and runners-up go out of the third period and into j the final period with credits so close ! that it will take production this week 1 or lack of it to determine the win- I ners. Work to Last Minute Campaign, to the last minute. Your last turn-in may be th e very I one it takes to put you over to victory and a motor car. Give your competitors credit for being good campaigners and then, after allow ing them all and more than you fig ure them, go them one better. That is the way to win. Remember this .others besides you have been working and are working. You have done well, may be, but you have no reason to ac cept your work as the pattern by which qther:- work. Overconfidence has lost more prizes than it ever won. Forge Ahead This Week And let this be said to each and every candidate—you have no right to take anything for granted. You owe it to yourself to forg e ahead at a fast pace during the short time that remains. Every day—every hour—of the limited time left should be utilized to the fullest extent by the earnest hustlers who really want to take advantage of the opportun ity presented this week. If you fail to hit the ballnow, if you fail to avail yourself of the tools provided for your use, if you lack de termination and easily get “your ears knocked down,” if you lack spirit, and pep and determination to win you are going to have a poor 1 alibj. Excuses will not make you votes. This business of winning is positive, not negative. It is what YOU accomplish that counts. And much can be accomplished this week. All Is Blind This Week The campaign management is now to all intents and purposes, through.
