Vapors Check
a Cold Overnight
There are many ways to treat a
cold but only one DIRECT way—
with vapors that can be inhaled.
Vapors penetrate immediately into
every corner of the air passages and
Ipngs, soothing and healing with ev
ery breath.
Vicks is so remarkably successful
in treating cold troubles because it
acts like “a vapor lamp in salve !
form.”
When rubbed over throat and chest
the body beat releases vapors of Men
thol, Camphor, Eucalyptus, Thyme
and Turpentine. At the same time
Vicks is absorbed through and stim
ulates the skin like a poltice or plas
ter.
This double, direct action often
checks the worst cold overnight.

ATLANTA MAN ’
KILLD BY THUGS
AT TIA JUANA
| Was Identified Through Elk
Membership Card Found in
Pocket
SAN DIEGO, Calif., Nov. 5.—T.
M. N. George, of Atlanta, Ga., was
killed by thugs Tuesday on the streets
of Tia Juana, Mexico. He died of a
fractured skull. Identification was
made yestreday through a fraternal
card which he carried. George, as
sistant manager of the Cotton Insur
ance association, came here from
Pallas Sunday, and went to Tia
Juana the following day.
The body will be sent to Atlanta.
R. C. Bendough, secretary of the
Elks Lodge here, establish the iden
tification when a card of that organi
zation was found on Him.
Coroner Schuyler Kelley, of this
county, aided by the local Elks
Lodge, was trying to get more details
of the manner in which George met'
his death.
Authorities at Tia Juana, the little'
Mexican resort town at the internal- 1
ional border, about 18 miles from this'
city, have always co-operated fully i
with local authorities in similar cases,
but they were able, apparently, to
throw little light on this case.
George’s overcoat, they said, was
picked up near the spot where his!
body was found. In the coat pocket,
was found a telegram signed “Mud- 1
die" and addres. Bl to George. This'
read: "Shipping your overcoat and
laundry care of Rookie from Little
Rock. Everybody well. Love.’’

'T'HE expectant mother’s comfort
and well being is very impor
tant. And one of the most important
things for her to do is to use a non-irri
tating. safe penetrating lubricant to keep
the skin, muscles and ligaments soft and
pliable—thus aiding the tissues and muschs
to relax and adjust themselves to the
changes during motherhood. Mother's
Friend is just such a preparation. It is
the formula of an eminent physician and I
has been used by expectant mothers for 1
over three generations. No woman await- I
ing the joy of motherhood should allow the •
days to pass without using Mother’s Friend. 5
Mrs. Laura Hendrix. Gracemont, Okla.,
writes: “I used Mother’s Friend with all
my babies and I think it is the grandest
help that has ever been discovered for ex
pectant mothers. I can’t say too much
for it.”
Mother’s Friend has saved thousands of
expectant mothers from much useless suf
