The Seaboard Air Line R. R.
has inaugurated a new but prac¬

along its line. Gen. Manager
St. John has caused more than
fifty small canning and evapor¬
ating plants to be established on
farms and in small villages along
the line; and in the way of in¬
troducing new field crops, the
management has been develop
ing hop culture in certain sections
along all its line which work has
been progressing successfully.
There have been 100 experiment
stations put along the line and
will grow such crops as is
thought will pay in this section
of..the country. Seeds are given
the farmers and in various ways
the section through which the
road goes aid is given to build up
enterprises. If all the roads in
the south will do this there will
be a marked improvement all
over our land.
