Flowers will be scarce this year and as the 26th day of April is a day especially named and is to be observed in memory of our Confederate dead, it is earnestly hoped that our people will make the soldiers graves the special object of one day at least. Indeed it was the intention and wish of Mrs. Williams, the qr iginator of memorial day. that only the soldiers graves should be looked after on that day. Every other day in the year can be given to individual graves and private lots; but only one day to the dead soldiers. Shall we be¬ grudge it? A committee will attend to it that each soldiers grave is remembered. “A word to the wise is suffi cient” and a word from the wise should be sufficient, but you ask, The oft repeated experience of trustworthy persons may be taken for know ^ge Mr. W M.
