Lunch and Learn Last Thursday, February 22 was a Lunch and Learn at Nick’s Place at 11:30AM. After ordering lunch, Thomas Macfie gave a presentation on preparing your garden spot for spring planting. He talked about soil preparation, fertilizing and soil content. There was lots of good information for those into growing what they eat. Those in attendance were, besides Thomas, Renee Brown, Sharon Carruthers, Elaine Rivera, Avanell Peters, Roy Rabun, Buddy Patterson and Jane Kuehn. Nothing is impossible IT with God! Ruth Merritt The woman became pregnant, and the next year about that same time she gave birth to a son, just as Elisha had told her (II Kings 4:17) This scripture says, the Shunamonite woman had no son and was married to an old man. From her perspective, having a child was absolutely impossible. So she had simply given up on her dream. But God saw beyond the impossible and blessed her with a son. Even when she couldn’t believe the promise, God kept His word. And, of course, that is how He works with us too. What a wonderful Bible passage to remember when we are praying for a seemingly impossible situation. For as the Apostle Paul put it, God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) Prayer: Dear Father, it’s such a relief to know that my prayers are not limited by what I can imagine or understand. Thank you Lord in Jesus’ name. Amen.
